The first stops on our amazing Africa adventure

September 2023

A video highlight reel from Tanzania. We started with a couple nights at the elegant Arusha Coffee Lodge and took a day trip to the amazing Tarangire National Park. Then we traveled east to the wonderful Sayari Camp in the Serengeti where we witnessed the breathtaking spectacle of thousands of wildebeest crossing the Mara River, and of course lots of other wildlife.

Ostrich Dance

Tarangire National Park, Tanzania — September 2023

Male ostriches put on quite a show to win over the females. They blush a bright scarlet on their beaks, necks and shins, then they perform an elaborate courtship dance, waving their wings and swinging their necks in an impressive display.

The Crossing

We were lucky to witness one of nature’s greatest spectacles in seeing thousands of wildebeest mass at the edge of the Mara River, then finally jump in one after the other and make their way across… that is if the crocodiles don’t get them first.
